2020 WGC St. Jude Invitational 7/30/20 - PGA Betting Odds, Picks & Predictions

Last Updated: 07/27/2020 at 12:26 PM ET

With the PGA Championship just two weeks away and the FedEx Cup playoffs three weeks from starting,  several golfers at or near the top of the world rankings will tee off on Thursday at the start of the World Golf Championship St.Jude Invitational in Memphis, Tennessee at the TPC Southwind. Seventy-eight golfers will take part in the event, but the tournament field will not include Tiger Woods.

The field will include each of the top eight players in the current world golf rankings, led by the new No. 1 player in the world John Rahm, who was the winner at the Memorial Tournament two weeks ago. Brooks Koepka is the defending champion of the event but has played poorly of late after missing yet another cut this past week at the just completed 3M Open. The event this week offers the largest prize money since the PGA Tour restarted in June with every player who finishes all four rounds earning a minimum of $50,000, and the winner pocketing $1.74 million.

The St. Jude Classic was played for 29 years at TPC Southwind before becoming one of the WGC events last year. TPC Southwind is characterized by very small greens, water hazards on 11 holes and 76 bunkers. The Par 3 11th hole is the signature hole at the course and plays close to 160 yards with an island green.

Golf Odds to win - 2020 WGC St. Jude Invitational

  • Jon Rahm                   +900
  • Rory McIlroy               +1000
  • Justin Thomas             +1100
  • Bryson DeChambeau  +1200
  • Xander Schauffele       +1800
  • Webb Simpson              +2000
  • Patrick Cantlay              +2000
  • Collin Morikawa           +2200
  • Daniel Berger            +2600
  • Viktor Hovland              +2700
  • Tyrrell Hatton             +2800
  • Tony Finau                +2900
  • Hideki Matsuyama      +2900
  • Matthew Fitzpatrick     +2900
  • Brooks Koepka              +3100
  • Tommy Fleetwood       +3100

  • Patrick Reed             +3300
  • Jason Day                  +3700
  • Gary Woodland             +4200

Dustin Johnson (+3300) has played poorly over the last two tournaments,  but cannot be overlooked in this week's event. Johnson has won twice at TPC Southwind. The long hitter was victorious in The Travelers Championship this past June after opening with +2800 odds and will play this week as a dark horse with much less pressure for at least the first two rounds. Final Pick, Dustin Johnson +3300.
