The PGA Tour heads to Houston, Texas this week for the Vivint Houston Open in the last tournament prior to the final major, the Masters, which will be played next week starting November 12th. This year's Houston Open will be played at Memorial Park Golf Course, which is hosting a PGA Tour event for the first time since 1963. This will also be the first tournament in the United States since the tour was shut down for covid-19, where fans can attend.
Several well-known players will tee off on Thursday in preparation for next week's Masters including Dustin Johnson, who is the odds on favorite to win this week over Brooks Koepka, who is playing his second tournament after returning from an injury, and Tyrrell Hatton who has been the hottest player on tour of recent. The defending champion is little known Lanto Griffin, who won his first title on tour at this tournament last year.
Johnson is returning after missing the CJ Cup and Zozo Championship due to testing positive for covid-19. The long hitter was victorious twice in the last five tournaments he participated in prior to sitting out two tournaments. The Memorial Club Golf Course is a 7,309-yard par 72 with fairways, rough and greens of Bermudagrass. Putting and the short game will be challenging for players this week.

Brooks Koepla (+1800) is not the favorite to win the Houston Open, but the veteran is prepping for next week's Masters and fine-tuning his game. Koepka played well in his first tournament back from an injury at the CJ Cup where irons and the short game were his strength and both are important this week. Kopeka will be up against overwhelming favorite Dustin Johnson but will find his driver and putting game in time for a victory on Sunday and head to the Masters as one of the favorites. Final Pick, Brooks Koepka +1800
