2020 Sanderson Farms Championship - PGA Picks, Odds & Betting Predictions

The PGA Tour heads to Jackson, Mississippi this week for the Sanderson Farms Championship that will tee off on Thursday at the Country Club of Jackson. Ten former champions of majors well take part this week including Henrik Stenson, Sergio Garcia, Zach Johnson and Louis Oosthuizen. The field does not include an elite list of professional golfers, with only five of the top 50 in the world rankings taking part in the four-day tournament.
This tournament has been known to have first time winners on the PGA tour since being moved to its current site. Each of the six champions from the Sanderson Farms championship earned their first PGA Tour victory at the event, including this year's defending champion Sebastian Munoz, who was victorious in a playoff in 2019.
The Country Club of Jackson course was redesigned in 2008 and has pushed up greens with closely mown runoff areas. The greens are smaller than average and undulating and if the weather is dry, the greens will be fast and tricky. Last year, four new bunkers were added and the signature hole, the par 4 No. 16, has water down the left side as well as in front and one of the new bunkers was added just to the left of the landing area. Most of the winners of recent at this championship putted very well.

Sam Burns, who begins the week at +2900, has come close to winning this year for the first time on the PGA tour but has yet to do so. Burns trailed by just one stroke starting the final round of the Safeway Open, which was just the two events ago. Since the PGA Tour restart, Burns has made seven cuts out of the 10 events he has entered and has not finished any worse than 32nd when making the cut.
