2020 PGA Championship - Betting Odds, Picks, & Predictions
Last Updated: 04/09/2020 at 1:29 AM ET
The PGA Championship will be the first of the three golf majors to be played in 2020 following a rescheduling of all golf tournaments due to the coronavirus outbreak. Originally scheduled to be played May 14th through May 17th, the PGA Championship will now be played August 6th through the 9th. The PGA Championship will tee off at TPC Harding Park in San Francisco, California. Golf's fourth major, the Open Championship has been cancelled for 2020.
The defending PGA Champion is Brooks Koepka, who won last year's tournament played on the Black Course at Bethpage State Park in New York. Dustin Johnson finished second, while Matt Wallace, Patrick Cantlay and Jordan Spieth all tied for third.
Rory McIlroy is the odds on favorite to win the first major in early August at 10 to 1. In McElroy's only start as a professional at TPC Harding Park, the world’s No. 1 player won the 2015 WGC-Match Play title by beating Gary Woodland 4 and 2 in the tournament's final match. McElroy regained the No. 1 ranking in world golf earlier this year for the first time since 2015 and has finished in the top five in all six events he has played this season on the PGA tour.

A popular pick to win the PGA Championship would be veteran Tiger Woods, but Brooks Koepka will lift the Wanamaker Trophy in August as the winner of the PGA Championship. Koepka has won four majors in the last three years including the 2018 and 2019 PGA Championship titles. Although Koepka has struggled since returning from his knee injury, the four-time Majors winner will have plenty of time between now and August to sharpen his game.
