2020 CJ Cup 9/15/20 - PGA Picks, Odds & Betting Predictions

The PGA Tour for the second straight week is in Las Vegas for the CJ Cup with golfers teeing on starting Thursday, following last week's Shriners Hospitals for Children Open. Prior to this year, the CJ cup was played in South Korea since 2017. However, in August a change of venue was announced by the PGA Tour due to covid 19. Shadow Creek Golf Course will host the CJ Cup this year. The tournament will have 78 players vying for the first prize of $1.75 million.

Brooks Koepka returns to action this week following two months off to recover from a knee injury. Joining Koepka will be other top names such as Dustin Johnson, Justin Thomas, John Rahm, Rory McIlroy and Collin Mmorikawa. Thomas is the defending champion of the event that was held in South Korea last year.

Shadow Creek Golf Course is a 7,527-yard par 72 that is characterized by wide fairways and rolling terrain with lots of uphill and downhill shots that will give an advantage to players that have a strong tee-to-green game. Tight collars will also make play around the greens important and once on the green players will face putts on undulating surfaces. The course is considered one of the most picturesque on the PGA Tour.

Thomas was victorious in the first edition of this tournament in 2017 as well as last year, but those events were played on a different course. Dating back to 2015, Thomas has won at least one event on tour during the fall except in 2018. In addition, Thomas tied for second at the Tour Championship and finished in the top 10 in the recently completed US Open. Final Pick, Justin Thomas +1200
