2020 BMW Championship - PGA Odds, Picks & Betting Predictions

Last Updated: 08/24/2020 at 11:16 AM ET

The second of three tournaments in the FedEx Cup playoffs tees off on Thursday when the BMW Championship begins play at Olympia Fields Country Club in Olympia Fields, Illinois. Although no fans and just a few volunteers will be present to watch the tournament, there will be no shortage of world-class golfers battling for the tournament purse. The top 70 golfers in the standings of the FedEx Cup will take part this week with no cut on Friday.

Tiger Woods takes part this week and is the only player in the field who played in the 2003 US Open that was played at Olympia Fields. Woods needs to finish no lower than 8th place to advance to the Tour Championship next week. Justin Thomas was the winner of the BMW championship last year when it was played at Medinah Country Club just 50 miles from where it will tee off on Thursday.

Dustin Johnson is coming off a record victory at the Northern Trust on Sunday finishing at -30 and owns the No. 1 ranking for the FedEx Cup playoff standings heading into this week's tournament. Thomas is currently No. 2, while Webb Simpson is No. 3. Several players high up in the world rankings are taking part this week including John Rahm, Rory McIlroy, Bryson Dechambeau and the aforementioned Thomas, Johnson, Simpson and Woods.
