Team SoloMid vs. Golden Guardians 8/23/20 - 2020 LCS Summer Split

If you’re having a case of déjà vu, know that you’re not in the minority. TSM and GGS already squared off a week ago, and it wasn’t pretty — at least not if you were a TSM fan. The fashion in which GGS outclassed the perennial North American titans wasn’t an easy pill to swallow. To say that they were the better team on the day wouldn’t even cut it. It was an absolute, one-sided beatdown that sent shockwaves throughout the LCS.

Not a lot of time has passed since, and the problems that TSM faced then are still as evident and debilitating as ever. These weren’t things you can fix in a week or two. The fact that the team is also splitting time with their two supports is also further proof that they’ve started to implode now that everything is on the line — something we’ve seen from the boys in white and black in the past as well. There’s a lack of trust between them and easy to understand why. This will not change quickly enough, especially considering the fact that they’re all aware that other than Bjergsen, no one’s performing up to expectations.

For TSM, this is do or die, but there’s very little reason to trust in their ability to bounce back after witnessing them implode to such a staggering degree mere days ago. We’re going with the underdogs on this one as it’s the only logical choice. That said, expect a slightly more competitive Best of 5 this time around.
