FlyQuest vs. Immortals 8/9/20 - 2020 LCS Summer Split Picks & Predictions

For our final regular season game of 2020 we have a rather fascinating clash: FlyQuest vs. Immortals. Now, perhaps “fascinating” isn’t the most apt way to describe it, but it’ll surely deliver entertainment-wise. There’s very little on the line for either team with FlyQuest already locking in their playoff spot. Immortals, on the other hand, are currently sitting with just four wins and thirteen losses after two months of competitive play. That’s a pretty neat way of saying they’re dead last in the standings. Immortals’ 2020 season will quite literally come to an end in mere hours.

Still, for a team that has nothing to lose, they’ve been fighting admirably against opponents many deem far superior. Heck, they even traded heavy blows with the former LCS champions Team Liquid in what was an unnervingly close match. This time around, however, they’re up against a team that has once again found its groove — FlyQuest are currently playing like a Top 3 challenger and are poised to leave a mark once all is said and done. Whether they’ll be able to lock down a ticket for Worlds still remains to be seen, but they’re more than equipped for the monumental task at hand. 

They’re itching to prove their worth in the playoffs, but before they can start preparing for those oh-so-important Best of 5s, they have to go through Immortals — a somewhat challenging obstacle that’ll surely put up a much bigger fight than most people expect. Regardless, FlyQuest are better across the board and should be able to prove it in quite emphatic fashion.
