Following a tough opening loss to Calgary, things do not get easier for the Hamilton Tiger-Cats (0-1) as they travel to Edmonton to battle the Eskimos. Jeremiah Masoli was outstanding in the Week 1 loss to Calgary and threw for 344 yards and 1 interception. Talk of Johnny Manziel taking over will have to wait at least another week in Hamilton.
Jalen Saunders was tremendous in Week 1 for the Tiger-Cats and caught a team high 7 passes for 118 yards. Mike Jones was solid for the Tiger-Cats in the season opening loss and caught 5 passes for 120 yards. The Tiger-Cats will have to improve their ground game moving forwards as Mercer Timmis led the Tiger-Cats in rushing in Week 1 with a paltry 20 yards rushing.
Coming off a tough 33-30 season opening victory over Winnipeg, the Edmonton Eskimos (1-0) play host to the Hamilton Tiger-Cats. Mike Reilly threw for 408 yards, 1 touchdown and 1 interception in the season opener and is looking to expand upon those stellar numbers in Week 2.
Derel Walker was the CFL's Top Receiver in Week 1 and caught 8 receptions for 176 yards and 1 touchdown for the Eskimos. Kenny Stafford is an additional receiving option for the Eskimos and caught 5 passes for 69 yards. CJ Gable was quiet on the ground for the Eskimos in Week 1 and only ran the ball 9 times for 40 yards, but did manage 2 touchdowns.
