Following a solid season opening victory over Hamilton, the Calgary Stampeders (1-0) travel to Toronto to battle the Argonauts. Quarterback Bo Levi Mitchell had a tough opener by his standards in Week 1 (297 yards, 1 touchdown, 1 interception, 47.2% completion percentage) and looks to rebound in Week 2.
Kamar Jorden had a solid opener for the Stampeders and caught 4 passes for 77 yards and 1 touchdown. Marken Michel was also solid for the Stampeders and caught 5 passes for 67 yards in Week 1. Don Jackson had a surprisingly solid start on the ground for the Stampeders and ran the ball 12 times for 87 yards and 1 touchdown in the season opening victory.
Coming off a tough loss to Saskatchewan, the Toronto Argonauts (0-1) host the Calgary Stampeders and are looking for their first win of the season after winning the Grey Cup in 2017. Ricky Ray was serviceable in Week 1 and threw for 233 yards, and 1 interception. He will need to improve upon those numbers moving forward.
James Wilder Jr. was solid in Week 1 running the ball 5 times for 16 yards and leading the team in receiving with 4 receptions for 68 yards. Wilder Jr. will need to improve his rushing numbers in Week 2. Armanti Edwards is an additional player to watch for the Argonauts and caught 5 passes for 55 yards in Week 1's loss to Saskatchewan.
