Saskatchewan Roughriders at Winnipeg Blue Bombers 12/5/21 - CFL Picks & Predictions

The Roughriders made it to the final in the West Division here. However, the last game for the Roughriders was a strong game that was very competitive against the Stampeders with Saskatchewan getting the win. The victory was very close and ended up at 33-30 with Saskatchewan having to survive the charge from the Stampeders in the 4th.

In the win the Roughriders were led by Cody Fajardo who went 22/33 for 189 yards and a touchdown, but he was picked off 4 times. The rushing attack picked up 162 yards on 28 carries and managed to get a touchdown as well. The defense allowed 285 yards in the air and picked the ball off twice. The rushing defense allowed 120 yards on 24 carries but did give up 2 touchdowns.

Winnipeg had a bye in the opening week of the playoffs. However, the last regular season game for the Blue Bombers was a 13-12 loss to the Stampeders. That will definitely be a challenge for the Blue Bombers here, but even then the Winnipeg team seemed to rest most of their star players.

The Blue Bombers used 2 quarterbacks who combined to go 14/24 for 122 yards. The rushing offense has picked up 209 yards on 32 carries. The defense was fairly weak on the pass giving up a touchdown and 216 yards with a pick. The rushing defense was great giving up only 39 yards on 12 carries.

The game here is one that should be interesting, but the key factor is the lack of offensive scoring production for the Roughriders in the game. The Blue Bombers did not really produce in the last game, but the bye week and the championship game was already guaranteed so the rest was a bonus for the starters. Final Score Prediction, Winnipeg Blue Bombers win 34-14.
