The Ottawa Redblacks are coming into this Friday night thriller after getting completely dumped on by Toronto in the last game out. The Redblacks, who should have been able to put up more of a fight saw a complete and total defensive collapse in the game as the Argonauts ended up putting in 46 points in the game. The Redblacks for their part did not really show up that great offensively with only 17 points being scored.
The passing attack for the Redblacks was led by Jonathon Jennings who went 33/42 with 327 yards and a touchdown, but he did have a pick in the game as well. Will Arndt was the other option at quarterback for the Redblacks and he went 6/7 with only 45 yards in the game. Mossis Madu carried the ball 6 times for 21 yards for the Redblacks.
The Lions are playing at home in this game and are coming off of a loss to Montreal. The Alouettes were able to squeeze out a victory by a narrow 5 point margin, but it was definitely a closer game than what you would have expected to see. What was impressive was the Lions defense did contain the Alouettes to 21 points, but the offense could only put in 16 points of their own.
Mike Reilly led the Lions offense at the quarterback position as he went 20/29 with 230 yards and a touchdown. Brandon Rutley actually looked decent for the team in the running back position carrying the ball 15 times for 71 yards on the day.

The Lions offense was held in check by the Alouettes and while that may not seem like it is a major issue, the fact that the Lions were held to 16 points could present a problem. What else can be an issue for the Lions is the defense was really pushed around as well. Compared to the Redblacks who have a decent offense that was contained the Redblacks will look for an outbreak in this game to bring home a strong win against the horrible Lions team.
