The Montreal Alouettes look to inch closer to first place in East division with a victory on Friday when visiting the Ottawa Redblacks. Montreal is 7-8 and second in the division, two games behind first place Toronto. Montreal was defeated by Ottawa on Monday 24-18 in the first of two consecutive meetings between the two. Montreal's Trevor Harris passed for 338 yards with one touchdown.

Trevor Harris has passed for 3,503 yards with 17 touchdowns and 11 interceptions. The leading rusher for Montreal is Jeshrun Antwi with 541 yards while the leading receiver is Eugene Lewis with 1,166 yards and nine touchdown receptions. Montreal is scoring an average of 25.4 points per game which is fourth best in the CFL and the Alouettes are allowing an average of 25.3 points per game which is fifth best.

Ottawa is last in the East division with an overall record 4-11 following its 24-18 victory over Montreal on Monday. Ottawa fell behind 15-7 at halftime but outscored Montreal in the second half 17-3 to win by six. Nick Arbuckle passed for 229 yards, while Justin Hardy caught 11 passes for 79 yards. Caleb Evans rushed for two touchdowns in the win.

The leading rusher is Devonte Williams with 454 yards, while Caleb Evans has rushed for 318 yards and 12 touchdowns. The leading receiver is Jaelon Acklin with 1,169 yards and two touchdown receptions. Ottawa is scoring an average of 20.5 points per game which is next to last in the CFL and is allowing an average of 25.9 points per game, which is seventh.

Montreal is coming off a disappointing loss on the road to Ottawa and will bounce back at home with a victory over the Redblacks on Friday. Montreal has the fourth-best scoring average in the CFL at 25.4 points per game and will be up against an Ottawa side that is scoring an average of only 20.5 points per game and allows 5.4 points more per game at 25.9.
