Elks vs Lions Picks and Prediction – 6/28/2024

The Edmonton Elks will be on the road Thursday night for a week 4 matchup against the BC Lions. Edmonton is one of the worst teams in the CFL winless through the first three games played following a three-point loss against Toronto a week ago. Defensively Edmonton was out matched giving up 374 yards and 39 points including eighteen in the second half resulting in the loss. Mcleod Bethel-Thompson led the way for the Edmonton offense completing 28 passes for 342 yards and four scores. Kevin Brown was the top ball carrier with 27 yards on 7 carries. Dylan Mitchell boasted a  team high 5 catches for 120 yards and one score. Three other Edmonton receivers combined for 156 yards and one touchdown apiece.

The BC Lions will be at home this week having won two of the last three following a narrow 2 point win in week three against Winnipeg on the road. Offensively BC was the better team against Winnipeg compiling exactly 500 yards to score 26 points including thirteen in the second half resulting in the victory. Defensively BC did just enough giving up 339 yards and 24 points in the win.

Vernon Adams Jr. led the way for BC under center completing 21 passes for 398 yards and two scores and ran the ball five times for 24 yards as well. Alexander Hollins was the top receiver in the game with 215 yards and two scores on 7 grabs. William Stanback led the way for the lions on the ground with 16 carries to post 83 yards in the game.
