Week 2 of the CFL regular season kicks off as the Calgary Stampeders visit the Hamilton Tiger-Cats. Calgary comes into week two of the season undefeated with a 1-0 record following a 3 point win over the Montreal Alouettes in game 1 of the year. Defensively Calgary struggled somewhat in week one of the season allowing Montreal to accumulate 390 total yards of offense, but the Stampeders forced five turnovers leading to the win.

Offensively Calgary played well with 359 total yards of offense as 256 came through the air. Quarterback Bo Levi Mitchell led the way for the Calgary offense completing 21 of 34 passes for 199 yards and one touchdown, while Jake Maier completed four of five passes for 57 yards as well.

The Hamilton Tiger-Cats come into week two of the season 0-1 on the year following a 17 point blowout loss to Saskatchewan a week ago. Hamilton was obliterated on the defensive side of the ball as Saskatchewan accumulated 386 total yards of offense as 311 came through the air to score 30 total points in the game.

Offensively Hamilton was mediocre at best scoring 13 points on 296 total yards of offense. Quarterback Dane Evans was the only sign of life in the Hamilton offense completing 18 of 22 passes for 222 yards and one score. Steven Dunbar Jr. led the way for the Hamilton receivers with 75 yards and one score on two catches.
