The Blue Bombers were able to make it through the preseason without a loss. The last game was actually very impressive as the Blue Bombers were challenged by the Roughriders, but were able to bring home the win and actually look good doing it. What else helped the Blue Bombers out was the fact the defense still looks good like it has in years past.
The Blue Bombers in the last preseason game, the loss to the Lions, were led in the passing by Matt Nichols who ended up getting 163 yards and a touchdown in the game. The rushing was not impressive at all as the top 2 rushers for the Blue Bombers had a combined 10 carries for 47 yards. The BC Lions were able to recently able to take down the Roughriders, but it was a home game. The downside is the Lions offense had to really keep pace in the game as the defense did not help out at all. The final score ended up being 38-36, but it was definitely a game that was well worth the offensive showcase that was put on.
Grant Kraemer was able to throw for 145 yards and a touchdown for the Lions. However, Austin Apodaca threw for 115 yard and Mike Reilly threw for 110 yards in the game. The rushing attackwas just about as weak as the Blue Bombers as the leading rushers carried the ball 10 times for a combined 49 yards.

The Lions are coming in with an offense that can definitely move the ball around. The downside is the rushing attack cannot kill off the clock and that could be an issue against some teams, but the Blue Bombers are a team that is equally good at moving the ball, but not clock killing. Look for this game to be a great offensive game with little defense, but it is one the Lions come out on top in with the home field advantage.
