On Thursday, the Winnipeg Blue Bombers look to bounce back from their only loss of the season when they visit the winless Toronto Argonauts. The Blue Bombers were defeated by the Hamilton Tiger-Cats last Friday 23-15. The Blue Bombers made too many mistakes to win after turning the ball over an unheard of six times with three fumbles and three interceptions.
Toronto lost last Thursday to the Edmonton Eskimos 26-0. The Argonauts remain winless at 0-6 after the humiliating loss. Last week Toronto turned the ball over seven times and on Thursday turned it over five times in the loss. McLeod Bethel-Thompson was benched to start the second half at quarterback for Toronto, which did not help the offense.
Matt Nichols leads the Blue Bombers with 1,411 yards passing, 13 touchdowns and four interceptions. Andrew Harris leads all rushers with 494 yards, while Chris Streveler has five touchdowns on the ground. The leading receiver is Lucky Whitehead with 22 receptions for 284 yards and two touchdowns, while Darvin Adams has 267 yards receiving and three touchdown receptions.
McLeod Bethel-Thompson leads Toronto in passing with 1,249 yards, seven touchdowns and nine interceptions. James Wilder Jr. has 161 yards rushing to lead the Argonauts. Derel Walker leads in receiving yards with 483 and has two touchdowns. Armanti Edwards has 353 yards receiving and three TD receptions.

I would hate to be the Toronto Argonauts defense. Winnipeg quarterback Matt Nichols will be on a mission throwing early and often to quickly put the poor performance of last Friday out of minds of the Blue Bombers. Winnipeg has covered the number in each of the last seven head-to-head games with Toronto and Thursday’s matchup will make it eight straight. Final Score Prediction, Winnipeg Blue Bombers win and cover ATS 34-15.
