Lions vs Elks Picks and Prediction – 8/11/2024

Quarterback Vernon Adams Jr. was off his game last week completing just eight passes for 74 yards in the game. Will Stanback led the way on the ground for the Lions with 42 yards on 10 carries. Alexander Hollins boasted a team leading 43 yards on three receptions. Keon Hatcher chipped in 28 yards on three receptions as well for BC.

The Edmonton Elks return home this week as the worst team in the league with just one win through eight games overall. Edmonton comes into this week running hot however following their first victory of the season with an 11 point win over Saskatchewan a week ago. The Edmonton offense rolled against Saskatchewan pouring in 42 points including 22 in the fourth quarter on 515 total yards. Defensively the Elks did just enough giving up 31 points on 392 yards overall.

Tre Ford had one of the best games of his season completing 18 passes for 252 yards and two scores and ran the ball five times for 46 yards as well. Javon Leake boasted a team high 169 yards and three scores on 12 carries. Tevin Jones tipped in 123 yards and two scores on three receptions.
