Alouettes at Roughriders 6/30/18 - CFL Picks & Predictions

On Saturday June 30 the Montreal Alouettes (0-2) visit Mosaic Stadium to play the Saskatchewan Roughriders (1-1) in Week 3 of the Canadian Football League. In Week 2, the Alouettes were routed by Winnipeg 56-10. Quarterback Drew Willy faced his former team for the first time and threw for 111 yards and one touchdown while completing 16 of his 25 passes. B.J. Cunningham was on the receiving end of Montreal’s only touchdown during the second quarter.

Zach Collaros has competed 22 of his 35 passes for 309 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions. Brandon Bridge has thrown for 145 yards and one interception. Caleb Holley is the leading receiver with 5 receptions for 118 yards. Naaman Roosevelt and Jordan Williams-Lambert each have one touchdown reception apiece. Jerome Messam leads all rushers with 100 yards. Samuel Eguaveon leads the defense with 13 tackles.

Montreal is just plain BAD. The Alouettes have failed to cover the spread in any of their last 7 games on the road and have managed to cover the number in just 3 of their last 17 overall. If there is any hope for Montreal it rests with the Roughriders quarterback situation. If Collaros cannot play due to a concussion the Alouettes could have an outside chance at a cover, but that is highly doubtful. Final Score Prediction: Saskatchewan Roughriders win and cover ATS 34-10
