Following a narrow 17-16 Week 1 victory over Saskatchewan, the Montreal Alouettes head to Alberta to battle the Edmonton Eskimos. The Alouettes will have to score more than 17 points to defeat the Eskimos high flying aerial attack.

Veteran Quarterback Darian Durant was solid if not spectacular in the Alouettes opener throwing for 233 yards and 2 touchdowns without any interceptions. B.J. Cunningham lead the Alouettes in receiving in Week 1 with 4 receptions for 90 yards and 1 touchdown. Veteran Nik Lewis (5 receptions, 60 yards) and Ex-Viking Tiquan Underwood (4 receptions, 28 yards) are additional receivers to watch for the Alouettes. Running back Tyrell Sutton ran for 68 yards on 13 carries after missing much of the 2016 campaign with an injury.
After a Week 1 victory over B.C., the Edmonton Eskimos (1-0) host Montreal. With eyes on the Grey Cup, the Eskimos can ill-afford losing so early in the season.

Quarterback Mike Reilly threw for 315 yards and 2 touchdowns in the Eskimos Week 1 victory over B.C. Brandon Zylstra more than made up for Derrel Walker's departure to the NFL with 7 receptions for 152 yards. The Eskimos victory was all the more impressive considering Adarius Bowman, who is arguably the CFL's top receiver was held to 2 receptions for 13 yards against B.C. With Bowman posting his usual numbers and John White rushing for over 100 yards as he did against BC, the Eskimos Offense is tough to stop.
