Alouettes at Argonauts 8/25/19 - CFL Picks & Predictions

The Montreal team is one that has a lot of confidence after picking up an overtime win over Calgary. Yes, the game was a lot closer than what was expected, but it I also a team that proved that their offense can hang in for a lot of the games even if the defense is unable to really slow down the opponents offense like in the last game.

Vernon Adams Jr. was the quarterback for the Alouettes in this game. He threw for a total of 389 yards and a couple of touchdowns, but was picked off a couple of times as well. When it came to running the ball the Alouette relied on Jeremiah Johnson who carried the ball 13 times for 107 yards. The Argonauts are coming into this game after a loss to Edmonton. The loss was one that really was not even close in the game as the Argonauts only managed to get 26 points scored in the game. However, the real story is how the Argonauts defense was controlled as the Eskimos ended up putting in a total of 41 points.

The offense of the Argonauts was led by Mcleod Bethel-Thompson who threw the ball for 200 yards and 2 touchdowns. However, the rushing attack was fairly balanced between the three leading rushers. The one rusher who stood out, though, was Chris Rainey who carried the ball 8 times for 58 yards in the game.
