The exhibition fight that people have been dreaming about looks like it is going to take off. Now, the fight may not be as good as it would have been if both of the fighters were in their prime, but the fight between Mike Tyson and Roy Jones Jr. is going to be a great fight nonetheless. Now, it is important to note this is the same fight that was originally supposed to take place in September, but ended up postponed due to coronavirus concerns.
The fight is scheduled to go up to 8 rounds. However, with the virus and the lack of true training the fighters were able to get in before the bout it could make it very difficult to see the fight lasting that many rounds, despite what Tyson has been putting on his Twitter account about hard training to get ready for the bout.
With Tyson it has been quite a while since he was in the ring. Now, that he is coming back it will be interesting to see if he is still Iron Mike and if he still has the same type of focus that he had the last time that he was in the ring.
Roy Jones Jr. is known for his fast footwork and that would definitely help him out in this fight. However, he is also know for being a fast striker as well. If he is able to keep his foot magic going it could be interesting to see if he is able to distract Iron Mike long enough to bring home some heavy blows that could end up costing Tyson the fight.
Mike Tyson is coming in as the favorite in this fight and has been bragging about how long he has been working out. However, with any fighter that is coming back it will be very difficult to see them able to go the distance in the fight or avoid some of the heavy blows that can come.
