Wise Power 400 2/27/22 - NASCAR Picks & Predictions

After an exciting Daytona 500 featuring 23 year old Austin Cindric edging out a victory in the #2 Ford against Team Jordan racer Bubba Wallace, the drivers travel to Fontana, California at the Auto Club Speedway for the Wise Power 400 for hopefully another one that comes down to the finish. You can catch all of the exciting coverage of the race on the FOX network at 3:30 PM eastern time.
The stock for Austin Cindric has surely risen since the Daytona victory as the odds now have him as a +5000, however last year's defending champion, Alex Bowman driving the #48 Hendricks Motorsports Chevrolet will surely have something to say about that. In last year's race, Bowman let the most laps with 110, also was victorious in stage one and three, taking home 59 total points in the standings.
One serious contender to watch out for is risky aggressive driver Kyle Busch driving the #18 Toyota for Joe Gibbs Racing. Kyle has won this race on three separate occasions. Busch was victorious two consecutive years in 2013, and 2014. Kyle also most recently won the race in 2019. In last year's race, Kyle started from the 18th position and worked his way up to 10th after Stage One, 7th place after Stage Two, and finally ending up the runner-up in the race after the third stage taking home a total of 40 points in the standings, just ahead of his brother Kurt and finished in third.

Kyle Busch was able to rebound from a nasty crash in the Daytona 500 in stage one to finish sixth in the race. His aggressive driving ability should allow him to handle this 2-mile, D-Oval track with ease. Not only does Kyle want to stay near the top of the standings, but his precision driving ability should allow him to stay near the front of the pack long enough to take home the victory in the end. Wise Power 400 Winner Prediction: Kyle Busch.
