Phoenix plays host to this weeks segment of the NASCAR Cup series race. However, the race track at around a mile in length should provide more excitement for the fans compared to what Las Vegas offered last week. Chase Elliott is the favorite driver here for the oddsmakers. However, Elliott has a lot of adversity to overcome. One of those problems was the finish that Elliott had at Las Vegas where he landed in 13th place. The one thing that could help Elliott out here is the chance he has to return to his form that he had in the Daytona 500, but it could be hard for him to reach that level.
Denny Hamlin is a driver to be considered a threat to win the Instacart 500, but Hamlin has fallen off at the end of the races this year as his car simply goes away from him. Look for that to continue here as Hamlin is towards the front of the race and possibly win some of the stages before falling off and finishing in the top 10.
