Martin Truex Jr. is a great driver and has won both races at Kansas as close as 2017. However, he did slack off to a certain extent this year finishing in 3rd in July. Last year, though, he did not do good at all and ended up in 6th place in the race that sent him back some in the cup race.
Denny Hamlin has been able to drive really well lately in Kansas. However, in this race Hamlin will be hard pressed to make a deep run with several drivers all competing to get to the top 8 spots. Now, Hamlin may finish in the top five which will hold true to his trends of being in the top 5 in 4 out of the last 6 races he has finished in Kansas.
