The Daytona 500 is set to kick off the NASCAR season on Sunday. However, the stands may not be as full as normal with a lot of sporting venues still under limitations on the number of fans allowed in attendance. Still, the Daytona 500 is the race that all the NASCAR fans have been waiting on and with the schedule starting at its somewhat normal date it could be interesting for the fans to see how the season carries on and hopefully without a lot of the wrecks from last season.
Bubba Wallace is definitely a long shot to win the race here. However, Wallace is coming to a new team and that could provide a little bit of a spark to his driving. Still, Wallace will have a long way to go and sitting at a +2200 and with only 3 top five finishes in his career he is a very long shot.
Denny Hamlin is one driver that has done really well at Daytona in his career and is sitting at +700 this year. However, Hamlin also is a driver that has had trouble avoiding the wrecks at times last season. Look for those problems to continue to plague Hamlin who should finish in the top 5, but getting the win locked down may be a challenge with the luck Hamlin has had in the past.
