The hometown kid will be the crowd favorite Monday night. Olson is a Brave, so he will be in his home park and went to high school outside of Atlanta. Expect the crowd to be electric and behind him on every pitch. Olson knows this park best and has a derby swing to match it. Olson has tremendous value in this event and will likely compete throughout the night if he has a strong first round.

Byron Buxton

Buxton is a freak athlete who his healthy and playing tremendously as of late. Buxton has found the long ball stroke this year and has been a consistent hitter. Coming off a recent cycle, Buxton will have all the confidence in the world Monday. Add in the fact that he is a Georgia native and will likely have a ton of friends and family at the park, and it gives Buxton the extra boost of confidence. If he finds it early and gets hot, a lot of balls could leave the yard off his bat.

Junior Caminero

Caminero is a young power hitter looking to make a name for himself on Monday. What sets Caminero apart is his tremendous bat speed, which is currently 2nd in the league according to Statcast. Bat speed can be a huge ally in this event, as it will be nothing but fastballs coming. If the speed and consistency show themselves Monday night for Junior, he could be a dark horse to lift the trophy.

Brent Rooker

Rooker gets a bad rap and often goes unnoticed due to the poor performance of the team he plays for. Despite the team's struggles, Rooker is currently top 10 in the league in home runs since the start of the 2023 season. Rooker is a big-time power hitter who can thrive in this situation on Monday. Rooker will make a lot of noise Monday and has the potential to take down some big names. Rooker has a ton of value with his ability to hit the ball hard all over the field.

Jazz Chisholm

This is the first career derby for Chisholm, but he won't shy away from the moment. The biggest issue will be his gas tank, as he is the most petite guy in the field and will likely swing as hard as he can every time. If. Jazz can find a groove and get some out early; he could be a potential dark horse down the stretch. Chisholm is likely not to go deep in the competition, but he guarantees the Yankees will be highlighted Monday night.
