Houston Texans at San Francisco 49ers 10/6/13 - NFL Free Picks, Odds, Trends, & Prediction
NFL: 8:30 PM EST October 6, 2013 TV: NBC
On Sunday, October 6, 2013, the Houston Texans will head up to the Bay Area to take on the San Francisco 49ers. The Texans are coming off of a bitter defeat in which Matt Schaub literally gave the game away in the final minutes by throwing a pick 6 which tied the game. The game would go into to overtime, where the Texans would lose to the Seahawks 23-20. In a game in which the Texans led 20-3 at halftime, a head injury to Brian Cushing and a headless play by Matt Schaub gave life to a Seattle team that seized the moment.
Schaub has been under fire from the Houston fans and Media for his inconsistent play this season, and the game against the Seahawks did not help his cause in the slightest.
The 49ers are coming off of an impressive victory over the St. Louis Rams. The Niners took a 14-3 lead into the locker room at halftime, and they came out in the second half and picked up where they left off in the first half. Frank Gore had his best rushing game of the season with 153 yards on 20 carries and a touchdown. Quarterback Colin Kaepernick added 167 yards and 2 touchdowns.

Late let-down by the Texans cost them a quality win over Seattle last week but Houston bounces back with another great performance in week 6. Even though the Niners won last week we still have questions about the running game and their secondary. Texans are getting no respect here, final score prediction, Houston Texans win outright 27-20.
