Green Bay Packers at San Francisco 49ers 9/8/13 - Free NFL Picks, Odds, Trends, & Predictions
NFL: 1:00 PM EST September 8, 2013 TV: FOX
Best game of NFL Week 1 is the Green Bay Packers traveling to Candelstick Park to face the San Francisco 49ers. Feels like these two NFC rivals play meaningul game every year, last 4 years they have played three times with Niners going 2-1 straight up and ATS.
The Packers needed to fix two things in off-season if they were to get back to Superbowl, offenisve line and running game. Green Bay tried to address their offensive line but injuries have already made them juggle their tackles. Packers drafted RB Eddie Lacey but not sure QB Aaron Rodgers wants to trust rookie to pick up blitzes. Losing WR Greg Jennings takes away the great depth Packers had at Wide Receiver and with Jordy Nelson already banged up it might be a problem in first few games.
Coach Jim Harbaugh has had amazing first two seaons in San Francisco but this year should be his best team yet. Now that QB Colin Kaepernick has more than half of a season under his belt look for Niners to expand their offense even more. The 49ers power run game and great defense should take pressure off Kaepernick. San Francisco addressed their secondary problems and if Nnamdi Asomugha can fill the nickel spot it will be great year for Niners defense.

Free Betting Pick: San Francisco -4.5
The 49ers pounded the Packers in playoffs last year winning 45-31 and we see very similar game. Safest play is the over as both secondaries will have trouble stopping the big plays. Kaepernick will show why Coach Harbaugh has so much confidence in him, look for Colin to throw for 300 plus yards and run for another 50 yards. Packers offenisve line issues will rear their ugly head as the great front 7 of the 49ers has pressure on Rodgers all day long. Final Score Prediction, San Francisco 33-24.
