NFL: 10:00 PM EST August 23, 2013 TV: n/a
On Friday, August 23, 2013, the Chicago Bears will head into the Coliseum to take on the Oakland Raiders. The Raiders are looking to make a splash in the AFC West, as they prepare to challenge Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos for supremacy. The Raiders improved their secondary by acquiring former Raider, Charles Woodson, as an unsigned free agent. Woodson is a 37 year old veteran that still has great range and superb instincts.
QB play is huge question make for Raiders as Matt Flynn and Terrell Pryor have looked shaky in two pre-season games. Raiders key will be riding the running game, only problem might be if Darren McFadden will be able to stay healthy enough to make a consistent contribution. Last two season McFadden has missed multiple games with multitude of injuries.
The Bears are looking to challenge Greenbay this year. Jay Cutler will be back with his compliment of speedy and clever receivers, not to mention, Brandon Marshall. Matt Forte will also be returning from a knee injury. Cutler is playing for contract as Jay is playing in last year of contract, Bears are at crossroads with aging veteran roster.
The defense should be solid if they can find way to replace future hall of famer Brian Urlacher. Causing turnovers has been the staple of Bears defense but looking at the age of most of their defensive stars might make you wonder if it can continue in 2013.

As far as the game with the Raiders, this one will have to go to the Bears. The Raiders have too many question marks. Cutler will look sharp as the Bears offense shows their new offense to rest of the NFL. Lack of solid QB continues to cost the Raiders as Flynn and Pryor will throw more interceptions than touchdowns. Final Score Prediction, Chicago Bears win 23-10.
